silvery lupine, Lupinus argenteus
The next image in this day's folder is silvery lupine, but the rule gets broken today. There's a better image of this one from a few days earlier. Silvery varies in color, and this mixture is a little better than the straight blue one from June 20. Silvery lupine can be seen in AZ, CA, CO, IA, KS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, OK, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY, AB, BC, and SK. Jefferson Co CO, 6/16/13.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
