Utah fleabane, Erigeron utahensis
Utah fleabane was right next to the goldenasters. In the western mountains, it seems like there's a fleabane right next to almost everything. They are all pretty things. Too bad we haven't come up with a better name. False asters? Asterettes? By any name, they are an endless wonder, and a puzzle for plant identifiers. Simular plants sometimes turn out to be asters, or even goldenrods. Fun! Utah grows in AZ, CA, CO, NM, and UT. Gunnison Co CO, 6/20/13.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
