sour cherry, Prunus cerasus
Cherry pie! Cherry cheesecake! This may be one where I'd rather see the results than the beginning. But here's the beginning. Sour cherries started out in Europe and west Asia, but how could we not spread them around. Now they show off in AK, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MT, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, RI, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, BC, NB, NS, ON, PE, and QC. Lenawee Co MI, 5/7/11.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
