rose twistedstalk, Streptopus lanceolatus
This is less often called rosybells, which seems like a good fit. Indians ate the stems and leaves, and used various parts as medicine. The plants are about a foot high, and often grow in clumps. It's known in AK, CT, DE, GA, IA, Ky, Ma, MD, ME, MI, MN, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, TN, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, AB, BC, LB, MB, NB, NF, NS, ON, PE, QC, and SPM. Emmet Co MI, 5/29/17.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
