roundleaf pyrola, Pyrola americana
This pyrola has leafless spikes of flowers maybe a foot tall. Each flower is about a quarter inch. The Ojibwa used it as a good luck medicine. Should have used some day before yesterday before I got up on that stool! Roundleaf grows in CT, DE, IL, IN(R), KY(X), MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SD, TN(E), VA, VT, WI, WV, MB, NB, NF, NS, ON, PE, QC, and on SPM. Ontonagon Co MI, 7/12/11.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
