alpine pennycress, Noccaea fendleri
This to me was an unremarkable little white flower in the mustard family, and of all the families, it's mustards I least appreciate. So it's been one I thought unlikely to appear here. Then the random number process picked it, and here it is. No longer unfairly treated. And after all, I did notice it. And get down among the rocks to find an image. And figure out if I could, with the plant half in the shade of one of those rocks. Now we have an unremarkable image of an ordinary plant, being talked about years later. Sometimes when it's talked about, it gets to be wild candytuft. It grows in AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, TX, UT, WA, and WY. Summit Co CO, 6/17/13.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
