dwarf larkspur, Delphinium tricorne
Apparently dwarf larkspur varies in color, with paler or sometimes white flowers. In my experience they have all been like this. Right at the top of that chroma scale. Called dwarf because it's two-foot stature is less than other eastern larkspurs, but it's far from the smallest. This is a woodland plant in AL, AR, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, VA, and WV. Beal Gardens, MSU, 5/28/19.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
