star jasmine, Jasminum multiflorum
We're only human, right? So many sins excused by that phrase. Including here the admiration of this genus of immigrant and sometimes invasive plants. Eight species have arrived on our shores, bringing their delightful fragrance. Only one of those, not star, gets north of Florida. They're all shrubs or vines. If when you visit down there you spot some, be sure to stop and sniff. And dream of Arabian nights, or whatever association you may have with jasmine. Polk Co FL, 3/22/16.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
