white pea, Lathyrus sativus
Electric blue? Yesterday some of us passed by an unusual electric car. In particular you would notice the absence of a conventional dash, and the two computer screens elevated above a front area like a shelf with two inset bins. What niche was that car trying to fill? That company must be targeting an unusual group of pollinators. Oops, customers. Is this pea, with the unusual color, and challenging access using a similar strategy? Like that car, white pea is an import and has so far found a limited audience. White pea has been reported from CA, MA, MD, OR, WI, ON, and QC. Beal Gardens, MSU, 6/23/14.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
