horseradish tree, Moringa oleifera
These pretty inch long flowers are the least value of this small tree. Wiki says moringa has the potential to improve nutrition, foster rural development, boost food security, and support sustainable land care. The leaves and pods are used as a vegetable. The young pods, called drumsticks, are particularly prized. The roots are used much like horseradish. The seeds yield a edible oil that is also used in cosmetics. Seed cake is a very effective filter for water purification. It's all highly nutritious, and also traditionally used in medicine. And it can leap wide oceans in a single bound. Originally from south Asia, horseradish tree is now in FL. Polk Co FL, 3/16/16.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
