ivyleaf morning-glory, Ipomoea hederacea
The fallow field with the jimsonweed had another beauty. These morning-glories trailed across the ground, covering large areas. This was the worst planting season on record for farmers. So it may very well have been the best season for the weeds. It's hard to look at this and think, "Noxious weed!" These most often blue flowers can look like they're illuminated from within in the right light. That white center is a feature that helps separate them from their kin. Ivyleaf morning-glories can be seen, most often in cultivated areas, in AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI, WV, and ON. Lenaww Co MI, 9/4/19.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
