white prairie clover, Dalea candida
White prairie clover is fun to see if you're from Michigan. It doesn't grow here. Apparently, it was also a challenging image. Nothing to be proud of here. How could it be better? Lose all the clutter from the background? Get closer? Find a more interesting angle? Put more of them in the frame? Hope I remember all this the next time! White prairie clover occurs in AL, AR, AZ, CO, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MN, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, OK, SC, SD, TN(E), TX, UT, WI, WV, WY, AB, MB, ON, and SK. Sedgwick Co CO, 6/25/13.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
