alpine false springparsley, Pseudocymopterus montanus
Why do I want to apologize for this one? Or maybe to it? It's always fun to find another flower. But to me, another one in the parsley family is not like another milkweed or thistle. Those are so inspiring! These kind of all look the same, and don't inspire creative or dazzling images. What I should have done was take a nibble. The whole thing is edible. Perhaps then I could have gotten more into it. So, ho hum, here's another umbellate. At least it's yellow. This wild parsley grows the mountains of AZ, CO, NM, NV, TX, UT, and WY. Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
