longleaf bluets, Houstonia longifolia
Longleaf bluets is a small plant, at most ten inches tall, with quarter inch flowers in white or pale blue. Not very noticeable individually. But when they crowd together at the edge of a wood, they will catch your eye. Longleaf bluets grow mostly in upland woods in AL, AR, CT(E), FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA(E), MD, ME(S), MI, MN, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI(X), SC, TN, VA, VT, WI, WV, AB, MB, ON, QC(L), and SK. Hamilton Co, OH, 7/14/15. Madder family, Rubiaceae.

I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
