elegant cinquefoil, Potentilla concinna
This elegant cinquefoil may be the most beautiful species of Potentilla, but there are an awful lot of them to pick from. Flora of North America has 98 species; there are about 400 around the world. This one is a plant of higher altitudes in AK, AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, ND, NE, NV, SD, UT, WY, AB, MB, and SK. Clear Creek Co CO, 6/18/13.

I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
