It seems that the better the berry, the worse the flower. Neither red nor black raspberries have flowers that most would look for. If you want images, you can look a long time before you find some that are at all worth a shot. Coincidentally, these were at Ives Preserve, just a few steps from the red raspberries I thought were good enough. Maybe being in a favorite place made them seem better? The best thing, of course, is the ultimate result. You just can't pass a bush full of ripe berries without grabbing a handful. I really miss those black raspberry smoothies my grand daughter used to make me. You would think even a teenager would still appreciate raspberries and grandfathers!
