moneywort, Lysimachia nummularia
Moneywort likes to hang out with its buddy forget-me-not in forested wetlands. Both are Eurasian immigrants, both attractive plants that show up in gardens, and both sometimes considered noxious weeds. They're both actually kind of nice, blooming along creeks and sloughs in the summer when there's not much else to see. Also called creeping jenny, or twopence after the paired round leaves. This now occurs in AL, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, BC, NB, NF, NS, ON, PE, and QC. Ives Fen Preserve, Lenawee Co MI, 6/6/12. Colicwood family, Myrsinaceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
