low hop clover, Trifolium campestre
If ever there was a little weed that rewards getting down on your belly, it's hop clover. It's a welcome weed, known for its ability to nourish the soil and grazing critters. In this case its growing in the old gravel pit area and farm fields at Ives Preserve, playing it's part in restoring that habitat. Low hop is now in every state and province except AK, AZ, CO, HI, NV, SD, UT, AB, LB, NT, NU, SK, and YT, and on SPM. Ives Fen Preserve, Lenawee Co MI, 6/13/20. Bean family, Fabaceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
