honewort, Cryptotaenia canadensis
I have complained about all the carefully arranged umbels of white flowers in this family. There's a sameness to them that lends itself to the photography, and makes it a bit boring. Honewort still has the white umbels, but carelessly arranged with different lenghts of pedicels. Now I want to complain that I can't find a good way to organize the composition of an image! In any case, honewort is a late spring woodland flower in AL, AR, CT, DE, FL(E), GA, HI, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME(X), MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI(S), SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WI, WV, MB, NB< ON, and QC. Lenawee Co MI, 6/5/11. Celery family, Apiaceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
