After these panicles of interesting white flowers, sacred bamboo produces arrays of bright red berries. It is very decorative. But berries? Eaten by birds? Here we go again. Bring it here from Japan to enjoy in our gardens, the next you know it wants to take over. This is now another of our invasive shrubs in FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TX, and VA.
