arrasa con todo, Gomphrena serrata
Arrasa con todo, or prostrate globe amaranth if you prefer English, or amor de soltero. Arassa con todo means erase it all.
Not sure if that is from its sometimes effect of crowding out others, or the consequent desire to get rid of it. Amor de soltero means only love, an interesting contrast. The leaves are edible. This American has spread to Pacific islands and India, where it is invasive. Here, it occurs in FL, GA, HI, LA, MD, TX, and VA. Polk Co FL, 10/20/15. Amaranth family, Amaranthaceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
