Digression
In these pages I hope to foster awareness of plants, conservation, and the wonders of the natural world. My greatest ambition is that it helps you to a reverent view of life. Whatever your sources of faith, spiritual or scientific or both, reverence is something to share. To me that necessarily leads to ideals of kindness and generosity.
There are currently competing forces taking root in the land. The best hope for resistance at this moment is our votes. Please vote as wisely and quickly as you can.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
