beach-tea, Croton punctatus
Beach-tea, also gulf croton. Gulf croton may make more sense, because I haven't found any reference to this being brewed into tea, or used for anything else. It is good to have growing on your beach dunes, where it can help control the drift. Beach-tea is attractive in its bushy form with those pale leaves. Beach tea grows primarily along shores in AL, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, PA, SC, and TX. Brevard Co FL, 1/27/13. Spurge family, Euphorbiaceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
