That's a shoulder of the mountain with a good view, and great blueberry picking. Lowbush blueberries are a favorite of the Abnaki, Algonquin, Chippewa, Iroquois, Menominee, Ojibwa, and European immigrant tribes. Lots of large sweet fruit, particularly if you maintain their habitat with periodic burns. In more marginal habitat, these roots can lay dormant up to 100 years before sprouting in a good year.
