yellow trillium, Trillium luteum
Yellow trilliums are native to the region around the Great Smokey Mountains. They have been a popular trillium for shade gardens, and have become naturalized in areas beyond their original range. Yellow trilliums or yellow wakerobins have been found in AL, GA, KY, ND, MI, NC, PA, SC, TN, VA, and ON. Longview Gardens, Chester Co PA, 4/21/21. Trillium family, Trilliaceae.

I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
