One site says this is the most beautiful of the beautyberries. Purple beautyberry is certainly a good one, and is widely available to gardeners. It is a compact shrub that only gets a few feet tall. These provide colorful flowers, striking bunches of purple berries, and great birdfood. No doubt thanks to those birds, this east Asian native is now wild in DE, NC, SC, TN, and VA.
