Ruby Falls wakerobin, Trillium freemanii
This new species of Trillium memorializes John D. Freeman. He was an avid student of the genus, and studied more than 10,000 specimens. He was curator of the Auburn University Herbarium, which is now the John D. Freeman Herbarium. These plants were discovered in woods near Cairns AL. Edgewood Garden, Chester Co PA, 4/21/21. Trillium family, Trilliaceae.

I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
