bristly crowfoot, Ranunculus pensylvanicus

Bristly crowfoot is a buttercup. Its small flowers are the same size as the little weedy kidneyleaf buttercups. But these plants can get several feet tall. Despite that, this seems to be a very neglected member of their family. They don't even get to use the buttercup name. Have you noticed them? In the decade I've been shooting digital, this was the one time I noticed a bristly crowfoot. There is very little lore, and these plants don't seem to have been used for much of anything. Bristly has been reported from AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, IA, IL, ID, IN, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MT, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SD, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY, and all provinces of Canada.
