juniperleaf, Polypremum procumbens
Juniperleaf is a sprawling plant with tiny flowers only about an eighth of an inch wide. It seems that it just drops its seeds where it grows. No burs, no fluff, no wings, just tiny .3 mm seeds. How then do they travel so well? Juniper leaf was found in Hawaii in 1962. Since then it's turned up on Guam, Kwajalein, Palau, Wallis Island and in eastern Australia, often along runways. Somehow it hitches rides on airplanes? Juniper leaf is also called rustweed after its fall color. This native grows in weedy or other open spots in AL, AR, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NY, OK, SC, TN, TX, VA, and south into South America.. Putnam Co GA, 7/7/18. Juniperleaf family, Tetrachondraceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
