saltmarsh fleabane, Pluchea odorata
Saltmarsh fleabane is native from the US southward. It is indeed 'odorata', and in the Caribbean is the source of a popular medicinal tea. Wiki says it is antispasmodic, so it may be good for cramps. Think I'll try some! It is diuretic, and Wiki also says it's a vasodilator, and shouldn't be used if you get migraines or are pregnant. I'm safe? As an eyewash it reduces redness and pain from hayfever. Aha! Only $6.45 from Etsy. Or you can just go gather some in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OK, PA, RI, SC, TX, UT, VA, and ON. Everglades National Park, Miami-Dade Co FL, 1/27/13. Aster family, Asteraceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
