Arborescens? Tree? That's a bit of an exaggeration for these sometimes decumbent shrubs. But they are woody, which is not a common characteristic of the aster family, and worth taking note of. This is sometimes planted as a hedge or groundcover, particularly near shores or other saline habitats. The flower heads are about an inch across. The leaves can be eaten or used in tea. These attractive bushes are native to the Florida Keys, the West Indies and Bermuda. Monroe Co FL, 3/21/16.
