Mossy stonecrop is a matted plant, spreading widely but never getting higher than about five inches. It is a dazzle in bloom, deserving of the sometimes name of gold moss. Mossy stonecrop is used as a ground cover, particularly in rock gardens. Native in Europe, it is naturalized in Japan, New Zealand and CO, CT, FL, IA, ID, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SD, TN, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY, BC, MB, NB, NF, NS, ON, PE, QC, SK, GL, and SPM. Lenawee Co MI, 6/15/11. Stonecrop family, Crassulaceae.

I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
