hyssopleaf hedge-nettle, Stachys hyssopifolia
What you see here is the narrow leaved variety of hyssopleaf hedgenettle. Var. hyssopifolia grows on the Atlantic coast and near Lake Michigan in Michigan and northwest Indiana. It's a good example of the tribe of plants that have that specific disjunct distribution. The species grows in CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, and VA. Allegan State Game Area, Allegan Co MI, 7/16/22.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
