Berlandier's sundrops, Oenothera capillifolia
Until right now I was happy calling this Oenothera berlandieri. Then I looked it up in Flora of North America and it wasn't there. I knew that many botanists split Oenothera into four genera, and for them this was Calylophus berlandieri. But recent studies support lumping things together in Oenothera. Many assumed this species becomes O. berlandieri when it's lumped. But in FNA, Warren Wagner reveals that the name O. capillifolia has precedence. Whatever the label, Berlandier's sundrops grow in CO, KS, LA, NM, OK, and TX. Travis Co TX, 4/17/22. Willowherb family, Onagraceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
