angelita daisy, Tetraneuris acaulis
I knew this as stemless fournerve daisy, but will gladly accept angelita. Or even butte marigold. I also knew it as a cute little tufted alpine plant in the Rocky Mountains. But it's wider ranging than that, and keeps the tufted habit wherever it goes. At lower altitudes the flower stems may be longer. The Hopi made a tea from this that they hoped would ease pain. Angelita daisy grows in AZ, CA, CO, ID, KS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, OK, SD, TX, UT, WY, AB, and SK. Mt. Evans National Park, Clear Creek Co CO, 6/18/13. Aster family, Asteraceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
