Googled this South American emigrant and the first item was from Queensland. It's invasive there. The following items were all from the southeastern US, and were worried about its behavior here. We can't be sure yet because it was only found here, in Florida, in 2006. Everybody down there is warned to be wary, and to not worry about treating it kindly. Polk Co FL, 3/17/16. Aster family, Asteraceae.

I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
