primroseleaf violet, Viola primulifolia
Is primroseleaf violet a species? If you cross Viola macloskeyi and V. lanceolata, you get plants like this. So one camp believes these are a hybrid. But your plants will be sterile. Wild populations of primroseleaf violets are not always sterile. If you subscribe to the rule that plants of hybrid origin should be sterile, then these wild populations are a species. Michigan Flora includes this as a species, but "with trepidation". Both sterile and fertile populations have been found here. Either way primroseleaf violet opos up in AL, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WI, and WV. Rapides parish LA, 4/18/22. Violet family, Violaceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
