spreading hedgeparsley, Torilis arvensis
Spreading hedgeparsley is yet another Eurasian invader. Or perhaps Canadian? USDA says these plants are native in British Columbia. The fruit are covered with small hooks, and have earned these plants the alternate common name of tall sock destroyer. Short dog destroyer would be another possibility. Spreading hedgeparsley has spread to AL, AR, CA, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WV, and is perhaps native in BC. Harris Co TX, 4/16/22. Celery family, Apiaceae.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
