Doll's-eyes
Here's a wider view of white baneberry or doll's-eyes. If ever there was an example of why you don't eat berries if you don't know they're safe, this is it. It doesn't take much to cause rapid cardiac arrest. This plant was in extreme southern Michigan, where I'm used to seeing smaller shorter bunches of flowers than the one on the wildflower page..

I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
