A rondo of trailing trilliums
Trilliums are kind of like a rondo? A catchy theme, repeated without much variation? Why not? If you've got a great idea, just go with it. I wonder if the limited variation of trilliums isn't one reason we like them so much. We always recognize trilliums. Even here, where the stems lie flat on the ground, we know we are looking at trilliums. So the next time we're contemplating a nice patch of trilliums, should we pull out our phones and queue up Bolero? I just might.

Hi Denise
Just thinking it's almost time to come look for Platanthera flava. Bob
Hi Bob:
I found it on Eber Rd, about 1.5 mi S. of Kitty Todd Preserve 1/4 mi from Metroparks land. I’m guessing it came in on the RR. (NwOhio)
Apparently so, but not on all plants. The brown only shows a little in this image.
Regarding umber pussytoes, one reference calls it brown-brackted pussytoes. Are it's bracts browner than other pussytoes?
